Frequently asked questions

What are your fees and policies?

My standard fee for a 50-minute individual therapy session is $150. Payment is due at the time of service. I accept payment via credit card, HSA/FSA, or Venmo. I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or reschedules; late cancellations or missed appointments may be charged the full session fee.

Do you take insurance?

I am in-network with Aetna. If your plan offers out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill for possible reimbursement.

What can I expect in an initial consult?

The 15-minute consultation is a chance for us to connect and get a feel for whether we might work well together free of charge. We’ll talk briefly about what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and any questions you have about my approach. There's no pressure, just an opportunity to see if it feels like a good fit for both of us.

How many sessions will I need?

Therapy is highly individual. Some clients feel ready to transition out after just a few months, while others appreciate longer-term support. Early on, we’ll talk about what meaningful change looks like to you, and we’ll revisit your goals together as therapy unfolds. My hope is to support you in reaching your goals and feeling confident in moving forward when you're ready.

What can I expect during a Brainspotting session?

In Brainspotting, we use a spot in your visual field to help access deeper emotional or physical experiences stored in the body. You’ll have the space to notice what comes up without needing to explain or analyze. I’ll be there to support you throughout. Many clients find it’s a different experience than traditional talk therapy, often quieter, deeper, and very self-directed.

Whats the difference between Brainspotting and traditional talk therapy?

Brainspotting is a mind-body approach that taps into the brain’s natural ability to heal, often beyond what words can reach. Instead of focusing only on talking through issues, we work with where emotions or memories are stored in the body. It’s often quieter, deeper, and can access stuck material in a different way than traditional talk therapy.

Can I combine Brainspotting and traditional talk therapy?

Absolutely. Therapy with me is flexible and tailored to what feels right for you. Some sessions may focus more on Brainspotting or parts work (IFS), while others may look more like traditional conversation and exploration. We'll check in often and adjust the flow based on your needs and what supports your healing best.
